The Graces (also Charites, sing. Charis) were goddesses from Greek mythology who personified charm, grace, and beauty. Hesiod describes three Graces, and this is their most common grouping in literature and art, but their number varies depending on the source. Associated with Aphrodite and spring flowers especially, they were considered the youthful bestowers of beauty in all its forms, . The book is even able to portray the trials of the martyrs in an accurate but age-appropriate fashion. Another great way to use this book is to read the “saint of the day” from the liturgical calendar each day when possible. We enjoyed this book from age 2 and up. The Mass for Children .

In this picture book young children will learn the different colours of the rainbow and where these colours could be seen in everyday life. Perfect for young children to . The book not only tells the gospel story about Jesus, but it also introduces children to a personal relationship with Him. A prayer at the end of the book guides children into that life-changing friendship with Jesus. This is the book author Kathryn Slattery wishes she had when her own children were young—which is the reason she wrote it!
